PITTSBURGH, PA — A woman has been hospitalized after being shot in the city's Elliott community early Thursday.
Pittsburgh Public Safety officials said police were dispatched to the 800 block of Steuben Street around 3 a.m. after receiving a one-round ShotSpotter notification. While responding, they were told that a woman in a nearby residence had suffered a gunshot wound to her shoulder.
She was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition.

A man and a woman from the same residence were taken to police headquarters for questioning. As of Thursday morning, no charges had been filed.
