WTAE-TV Names New Noon Anchor

PITTSBURGH, PA — WTAE=TV has named Elena LaQuatra as its weekday noon newscast anchor. She made the announcement on Facebook.

"I’m so very honored to have accepted a new position here at WTAE-TV Pittsburgh, " she stated.

"I’m officially signed on as the anchor of our weekday noon newscast and as the morning traffic reporter. I’m grateful for this opportunity and so thrilled to become a permanent part of our morning team in the studio and bring you the midday news. It’s cliche to say it’s been a dream of mine for many years, but it truly has - and it’s a dream that seemed very far out of reach for a long time."

LaQuatra has overcome physical challenges in her journey to an anchor position.
