Yo-Yo Ma Returns To Perform With Pittsburgh Symphony For One Night
The legendary cellist will perform with conductor Manfred Honeck and the Pittsburgh Symphony in Feb. 2023. Tickets are on sale Aug. 29.

PITTSBURGH, PA — Iconic cellist Yo-Yo Ma will return to the Steel City for one night in 2023 with conductor Manfred Honeck and the Pittsburgh Symphony, a press release said.
Yo-Yo Ma has performed with every Pittsburgh Symphony director since 1979, when he first appeared on the Heinz Hall stage. His last show in Pittsburgh was in 2018, the symphony said.
"An artist whose multi-faceted career is testament to his enduring belief in culture’s power to generate trust and understanding, Yo-Yo Ma strives to foster connections that stimulate the imagination and reinforce our humanity through performing new or familiar works from the cello repertoire, collaborating with communities and institutions to explore culture’s role in society, and engaging unexpected musical forms," the symphony said.

The show will be at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 15, 2023 in Heinz Hall. More information will come later.
Tickets are on sale to the general public on August 29, and range in price from $40-$135. The general public can get tickets through the Heinz Hall Box Office online at pittsburghsymphony.org, by phoning 412.392.4900, or in person at 600 Penn Ave. in downtown Pittsburgh.
