Plum-Oakmont Students Graduate, Are Named to College Dean's Lists

Several local students have graduated from college or made it on to their school's dean's list. Here's a roundup:

Chatham University

The following local students graduated:

• Liana Maneese of Plum graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in cultural studies.
• Alison Hunter of Plum graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Lina Shunk of Plum graduated with a Master of Accounting.
• Betsy Callomon of Oakmont graduated with a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology.
• Amy Younkins of Plum graduated with a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology.

The following students have been named to the Dean's List for the spring 2012 term:

• Kitoko Chargois of Plum is a second-year student at Chatham University.
• Jeannette Schollaert of Plum is a second-year student at Chatham University.
• Lauren Thompson of Oakmont is a fourth-year student at Chatham University.

Clarion University

Area students were named to the dean's list for the spring 2012 semester:

• Mark Liberto of Oakmont
• Jessica Miller of Plum
• Samantha Myler of Plum
• Rachel Septak of Plum
• Caitlin Valentich of Plum

Clark University

Angelica R. Surra of Oakmont received a degree from Clark University. Surra graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in political science.

Geneva College

The following students were named to the dean's list:

• Sarah Wilson of Pittsburgh is a senior Writing major.
• Richard Humes of Pittsburgh is a senior Chemistry major.
• Emily Mitchell of Pittsburgh is a junior Elementary Education major.
• James O'Malley of Oakmont is a sophomore Business major.

Grove City College

The following students graduated:

• Joe Costantino earned a bachelors in Electrical Engineering. He is a 2008 graduate of Plum Senior High School and is the son of Donna Riling.
• Katie Risbon earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education. She is a 2008 graduate of Plum Senior High School and is the daughter of James and Mary Risbon.

The following students were named to the dean's list with distinction:

• Kirsten French, a sophomore PreK-8 Special Education major, is a 2010 graduate of Riverview High School and is a resident of Oakmont.
• Jared Matthews, a freshman Marketing Management major, is a 2011 graduate of Plum Senior High School and is the son of Gregory and Maria Matthews.

James Madison University

Oakmont resident Sarah Killian has been named to the dean's list at James Madison University for the spring 2012 semester.

Lafayette College

Kyle Simmons of Plum graduated from Lafayette College and earned a bachelor of arts degree in economics & business.

Mansfield University

Mark Accettulla of Oakmont has been named to the spring 2012 President's list at Mansfield University. To be named to the President's list, a student must be attending the university full-time and attain a perfect 4.0 GPA for the semester.

Messiah College

Plum resident Molly Mastorovich graduated with a degree in theatre.

Miami University

Meagan Elizabeth Daldoss of Oakmont was named to the Miami University dean's list.

Penn State—The Behrend College

The following students were named to the dean's list:

• Jamie Manson of Plum is a senior studying psychology.
• Anthony Mazzenga of Plum is a freshman studying engineering.

Thiel College

The following students were named to the dean's list:

• Jennifer Kumar, a junior and a resident of Oakmont, has been on the list three times.
• Jared Soell, a senior and a resident of Oakmont, has been on the list three times.

University of Delaware

Samantha Perilstein of Oakmont has been named to the University of Delaware's Dean's List for Spring 2012.
