students soon will have to answer to a new assistant principal.
On Monday, the Riverview School Board hired Tiffany Nix to assume the role. She will be replacing Jeff Hadley, and is now a principal at in Plum. She will be paid a prorated $70,000 annually.
Nix currently is a counselor at Springdale Junior/Senior High School. She has worked as a counselor at the Highlands School District, and has interned as a principal at Springdale and the Butler School District.

Nix will begin working at Riverview upon her release from her current position.
High school principal Jay Moser said there were a total of 62 applicants for the position.
