Students Named to College Dean's Lists

Clarion University

Area students were named to the Clarion University of Pennsylvania dean's list for the fall 2011 semester. They are:

Angela Della Sala, Jessica Miller, Samantha Myler, Rachel Septak and Caitlin Valentich of Plum; and Mark Liberto of Oakmont.

Students must earn a grade point average of 3.5 for placement on the dean's list.

California University of Pennsylvania

Cory Sakolsky of Plum Borough achieved straight A's in his first semester at California University of Pennsylvania. He took 15 credits in various courses of study. Sakolsky is studying Secondary Education Social Studies and Physical Education. A graduate of Plum High School, Sakolsky was an alternative captain on the Mustang Hockey team and one of the commanding officers of the Plum Air Force ROTC.

Thiel College

The following local residents were among the 288 students from Thiel College who were named to the fall 2011 Dean's List:

Jennifer Kumar, a junior political science and psychology major and a resident of Oakmont, has been on the list two times.

Jared Soell, a senior business administration major and a resident of Oakmont, has been on the list two times.

A Thiel College student must attain a grade point average of 3.40 on a 4.0 scale while being enrolled full time to be eligible for the Dean's List.
