
Over 14,000 PECO customers were without power on Thursday night as Thunderstorms and rain rolled across the region, and Montgomery County was the most severely affected.
In Montgomery County, 4,573 customers were without power as of 9:20 p.m., according to PECO outage maps.
Bucks County had 3,525 without power, Chester had 2,620, Delaware had 1,605, and Philadelphia had 1,565.

Plymouth Meeting was the hardest hit area in Montgomery County, accounting for 1,098 of the outages on its own.
PECO has overhauled their website in the wake of the last storm and outages, and after area lawmakers demanded a change in the way the company reacts to emergencies.

Customers can now drill down into an interactive map and see how many outages are in each town and exactly what time they are expected to have power back again.
Many of the towns affected in Montgomery County would be returned to power overnight, according to PECO’s map.
