An accident involving a tractor-trailer closed a section of Flourtown Road during the Monday evening rush.
Whitemarsh Police said a tractor-trailer had collided with the railroad overpass about one-fifth of a mile east of Butler Pike. The overpass has a posted clearance of 11 feet, 9 inches.
There were no injuries, police said, and no other vehicles were involved. The accident took place at about 5:45 p.m.

The roadway remained closed at 7:00 p.m. Monday evening, and fire police were detouring traffic.
