WHITEMARSH TOWNSHIP, PA — A PECO construction project on Ridge Pike in Whitemarsh Township will impact traffic through July, officials said.
The work will take place on Ridge Pike between Joshua Road and Holly Lane from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Mondays through Fridays.
The project involves replacing existing natural gas equipment, and installing a new, more durable underground pipe.
Crews will also need to turn off natural gas service to nearby homes, and PECO contractors will need to enter homes to relight appliances after the connection is reestablished.
"We will need access to the natural gas appliances or equipment in your home so we can perform this work and later that day to restore service and relight any appliances," PECO said in their announcement. "At this time, we will also be relocating any indoor natural gas meters to the exterior of the building to a location that is above-ground and is as close as practical to the existing indoor location."
Officials said that areas impacted on private property will be repaired, and streets will be repaved to their original condition.
PECO contractor Utility Line Services will complete the project. To schedule an appointment or address issues, contact Rich Brunner at 215-430-1503.
