Make some Pi crafts, participate in a pie-eating contest, compete in a Pi(e) trivia contest, try you hand at memorizing the most digits of Pi (or not!) and, of course, eat some delicious pie!

No need to register; just stop by between 6-7:30. You can join in the activity or use this time to catch up with old friends or make new ones.

Children in 1st through 5th grade are invited to join us at the Library to play chess with other children. We will have some chess sets available, but if you have one at home, please bring it along. Joe Fox, volunteer chess aficionado and retired teacher, will be on hand to help facilitate the program and to open up the hour with a chess puzzle. Mr. Joe has all current background clearances required to volunteer with children, but parents/caregivers are still required to remain in the Library building throughout the duration of the program, and must return to the Community Room promptly at 7:30.
Please note that this program is intended for children who already know how to play chess. It is not an instructional class, but rather an informal gathering to provide young chess players with the opportunity to play with other kids.
Registration is required. Please consider opting in to receive a text reminder about chess club! You will receive ONE text reminder, and your number will not be given to or used by anyone else for any other purpose at any time.
Number of people attending should&nbsp;include the total number of children, but not adults.

We will provide the props, prompt sheets, &amp; snacks!

Families are invited to stop by the library between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to help us kick-off our Summer Reading Challenge!
Learn what excitement lies ahead for children at the library this summer, enjoy some snacks, grab a free sticker, preview our Summer Reading Challenge prize choices, pick up a Summer Reading Log or an Early Literacy Activity Sheet, and participate in some fun activities!
We'll give you a punch card, and if you complete at least 4 activities, you'll earn a prize!
