Car Crash then Floor Crash

A Plymouth Meeting man injures himself way after an alleged DUI-crash.

A Plymouth Meeting man was charged with DUI following a crash last week.

Whitemarsh Police arrested Norman Johnson, 59, of the 1700 block of Butler Pike on Friday, June 14 at about 6:30 p.m. following a crash near the corner of Stenton Avenue and Rogers Circle, police said.

Norman was taken into custody for DUI and transported to the hospital to submit to a blood test, police said. He refused the test and was transported back to the station to be processed.

During the photograph portion of the processing, Johnson fell forward, hitting his nose on the floor, police said. He had a small cut on his nose and declined first aid. Due to Johnson’s intoxication, police were unable to complete the fingerprinting portion of the processing.

According to court documents, Johnson’s blood alcohol content was greater than 0.16 percent and this was his first arrest for DUI; his preliminary hearing is scheduled for mid July.
