Conshohocken Home Invader Killed Woman's Pet Snake: Police

The victim had cut off all contact with the man days prior to the invasion, police said.

CONSHOHOCKEN, PA — A home invader in Conshohocken snuck into a woman's bedroom and killed her pet snake recently, police said.

The incident occurred on Jan. 21 on the 600 block of Wood Street.

Two days prior, the victim had cut off all communication with Nicholas Lee Faux, of Sellersville, police said.

Faux proceeded to smash the sliding glass door at the rear of the home to gain entry, according to authorities.

He then snuck upstairs to kill the snake, police said, while stealing unknown items.

Police identified and tracked Faux using surveillance video footage of the vehicle he drove.

Faux was arrested and charged with burglary, criminal mischief, aggravated cruelty to animals, and related counts. He was arraigned on $50,000 bail, which he did not post, and was booked at Montgomery County Correctional Facility.

A preliminary hearing is fortcoming.
