Fake Utility Workers Robbing Montgomery County Homes: Cops
The criminals pose as "Water Company" workers coming by to "check the pipes."

Norristown Police are warning residents to be vigilant of individuals posing as utility workers after suspicious incidents in the borough.
Criminals are trying to enter Norristown homes by telling residents that they are public utility workers, police said on Thursday.
Police are offering several tips to the public to help educate them on what can be done to prevent future incidents.

One incident occurred at about 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday on the 700 block of East Moore Street, police said.
The victim said a Hispanic male posing as a utility worker came to “check the pipes,” and that soon another man, unidentified, entered the home. The victim noticed that several objects had been moved around and called police.

The Hispanic male suspect wore khaki pants, yellow-rimmed aviator glasses, and a badge around his neck.
