Gun-Wielding Conshy Man Arrested After Making Threats, Police Say

George Hernandez, of Maple Street, allegedly threatened a man who refused to take him to the liquor store.

 

A Conshohocken man was charged with terroristic threats, possession of a weapon, simple assault and related charges after an alleged March 23 incident on Maple Avenue, according to court records

The Times Herald reported that George Hernandez, 54, of Maple Street, was arrested after reports of a drunken man wielding a shotgun on his front property.

According to the report, an alleged male victim said that Hernandez was intoxicated and demanded that the victim take him to the liquor store. When the victim refused, Hernandez allegedly retrieved a shotgun, telling the victim “this will cut you in half,” and pointing the shotgun out the front door.

When the victim fled the residence, Hernandez allegedly followed him outside, carrying his shotgun, police said.

In addition to terroristic threats, possession of weapon and simple assault charges, Hernandez is also charged with recklessly endangering another person, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.

Hernandez was unable to post bail, which was $2,500.
