Man Burglarized Plymouth Twp. Storage Facilities For Years: Police

Police said numerous Extra Space Storage units were burglarized by the man over a period of years.

PLYMOUTH TOWNSHIP, PA — A man who burglarized numerous long term storage facilities in Plymouth Township has been arrested, police announced.

Police said that Kyle Lee Grater has been committing the burglaries since the beginning of 2021.

The incidents occurred at two Extra Space Storage locations in the township, police said, 100 Lee Drive and 1098 Belvoir Road.

Grater was renting a unit at the Lee Drive facility, and police believed he leveraged that access to commit the crimes, they said.

However, it's still not clear how exactly Grater was able to break into the Extra Space units.

Grater was booked at Montgomery County Correctional Facility and charged with burglary, criminal trespass, and related counts. A preliminary hearing is forthcoming.
