EPA Deputy Regional Admin: "Education plays an enormous part in protecting and restoring the Schuylkill watershed."
Three Miquon School students were recognized by the Environmental Protection Agency for taking first-place in the Schuylkill Stories video contest in May.
The contest, sponsored by the Schuylkill Action Network, called for videos with the theme of “This is My Watershed” and could include clips of “people enjoying the Schuylkill Rive, as well as the many waterways flowing into it,” according to the group’s website.
Miquon students won first place in both the third- and fourth-grade and fifth-and sixth-grade divisions of the contest.
