PWHS Student To be Crowned 'Miss PW'
The Plymouth Whitemarsh High School Miss PW pageant is scheduled for Wednesday.

Sixteen Plymouth Whitemarsh students will compete for the title of Miss PW on January 11 at 7:00 PM in the Plymouth Whitemarsh High School auditorium.
According to a release from the school, the pageant “an opportunity for the young women in the school to showcase their intellect, poise and talent … and to serve as a role model for her peers.”
The contestants will be judged in four categories. "Casual Wear" is an opportunity to showcase individual style and casual fashion. "Evening Wear" will consist of a formal dress or outfit that would be appropriate to wear at events such as a prom or a wedding.

During the “Interview" each participant will have a casual on-stage conversation with the pageant host and answer a question.
"Talent" will be a 90 second performance of the student's choice. The contestants have a variety of talents including colorguard, dancing, news broadcasting, playing piano, playing saxophone, playing trumpet and singing.

The judging panel consists of Kayla Martell, Miss Delaware 2010 and Top 10 Finalist at Miss America 2011; Mary Kaye Anthony, former Miss Philadelphia and Miss Pennsylvania Runner-up; Gail Bingham, Colonial School District teacher and choreographer; Kathy Oxberry, Colonial School Board of Directors; Julia Pauline, PW alum and Miss Pennsylvania International; Paul Pruitt, event photographer; and Ryann Richardson, Miss State Pennsylvania and Miss Maryland Pageant Runner-up.
The winner will receive a sash and crown. Awards will also be given to the runners-up, Top Talent Winner, Top Evening Wear Winner, People's Choice Winner and Miss Congeniality.
The students scheduled to participate include Lauren Babillis, Allyssa Conner, Ameera Eison, Maxie Erhlich, Devon Fasy, Olivia Flocco, Jocelyn Frye, Jocelyn Gadd, Madison Galanti, Alison Jones, Malissa Oricchio, Jessica Rhoads, Alexandra Rocca, LaTricia Scutching, Adriana Seitz and Brianna Smith.
Tickets are $5 and will be available at the door.
