In all school cafeterias, students are socially distanced in the food serving lines and in the seating areas. In elementary cafeterias, students do not self-serve. All food – entries and side orders – are handed to them by a food service employee. Disposable utensils are provided, and the checkout process is touchless – no pads or finger scanners are used. Parents may also order meals for students to bring home for the following day when they participate in virtual classes.

Even while cafeterias are open, the District continues to provide free meals for the 100-percent virtual learners. The remote meal pick up is every Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Plymouth Whitemarsh High School. Five breakfasts and five lunches are provided at each pick up.
