Watch: Vehicle Blows Past Stopped School Bus In Plymouth

The vehicle just barely missed striking several children who were attempting to board the stopped bus.

PLYMOUTH TOWNSHIP, PA — Police are investigating after a vehicle rode past a stopped school bus in Plymouth Township on Wednesday morning.

The incident occurred on Sandy Hill Road just off of Germantown Pike, the Plymouth Township Police Department said.

The speeding vehicle just barely missed striking several children who were boarding the stopped bus. The bus had its stop signs out and was flashing its red lights.

Multiple residents say this is a common occurrence near both Germantown and Ridge.

Violations of school bus stoppage can result in heavy fines and even jail time. Even less flagrant violations can result in a $250 fine, a 60-day license suspension, and the addition of five points to the suspect's driving record.
