Naloxone Saves Overdosing Teenager's Life In Montgomery County
The quick thinking of a pair of police officers saved the life of a teenager that had overdosed on opiate.

LOWER POTTSGROVE, PA -- The quick thinking of a pair of police officers might have saved the life of a teenager who overdosed on opiates.
On Wednesday, Lower Pottsgrove officers responded to a call of an unresponsive teenager in the area, police said.
Officers James, Smith, and Bond responded to the call.

They found the victim lying on the ground, unconscious, with a faint pulse and in respiratory arrest, according to officials.
The officers quickly administered first aid, while Officer Smith administered Naloxone.

Naloxone is a drug which fights various types of opiate overdoses. Agencies across Montgomery County began widely carrying distributing the drug for their officers to carry during 2015.
The victim was then taken to the hospital, where a recovery was expected.
