One Injured In Route 422 Crash

One person was injured after a crash on Route 422 eastbound Tuesday. The cause of the crash is not known.

ROYERSFORD, PA — One individual was injured after a crash on Route 422 late Tuesday morning, officials said.

The incident occurred in the eastbound lanes of Route 422 in Royersford at around 11:19 a.m., according to the Royersford Fire Department.

A red Toyota Corolla crashed into the median guardrail, smashing it apart.

The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries and is expected to make a full recovery, authorities said.

The Royersford Fire Department, Black Rock Volunteer Fire Company, and Upper Providence Fire Department all responded to the scene.

The cause of the crash is not known. Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the incident.
