Police Arrest 50 People In Dorney Park Drug Crackdown, Reports Say

A total of 50 people were arrested at Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom in July as police cracked down on drug activity within the park, according to multiple media sources.

WFMZ-TV reported that eight more arrests were made in the park and the parking lot on Sunday, August 14, for marijuana possession.

South Whitehall Township Police Chief John Christman said that there are two officers working 40 hours per week patrolling the park, according to NBC 10.

It's the second year in a row that police and the park have entered into an agreement, reports state. In 2015, there was just one officer patrolling the park.

Among the region's more popular amusement parks, Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom are located at 3830 Dorney Park Road in Allentown.
