Threats At Boyertown HS Lead To Increased Police Presence

Threats made by a student Boyertown HS put the district on heightened alert. An investigation revealed the threats were "not viable."

BOYERTOWN, PA — An increased police presence was in place at Boyertown High School on Tuesday after threats of violence against the school were made by at least one student, and possibly more. Police later determined that the threat was "not viable," but local students and parents are nonetheless on edge.

The threats were made last Friday and referenced something that would happen on Tuesday, and seemed to specifically target the 9th grade class.

The school district said that the threatening statements were thoroughly investigated and it was found that there was no immediate danger.
