UPDATE: Stolen Vehicle Recovered from Sweet Arrow Lake in Schuylkill County (skooknews.com) — State Police say a vehicle stolen from Pottsville City on May 4 was found submerged but empty in Sweet Arrow Lake in Pine Grove Township Sunday evening. Business and nonprofit veteran Lew Dryfoos III has been named executive director, succeeding Savas Logothetides, and is pledging to strengthen economic development and community-focused initiatives in the city’s core.

District 11 girls track and field: Salisbury's Yakaitis, Northern Lehigh's Heil bounce back to win gold medals (mcall.com) — Pottsville’s girls track team earned 18 points at the District 11 championships, led by standout hurdler and jumper Alexa Giuffre-Cuculletto, who medaled in multiple events. The meet at Whitehall featured strong performances from schools across the region, with several athletes, including Pottsville’s, punching tickets to the upcoming state championships.
