Troopers will check for proper installation, defects, and recalls as part of a broader November ‘Click It or Ticket’ seat belt enforcement campaign across the region.
   

• Case Against Punxsy Teen Accused of Schoolyard Assault Advances in Court (explorejeffersonpa.com) — A court case involving an 18-year-old Punxsutawney resident accused of assaulting a younger student outside a local school has been moved to Jefferson County Court of Common Pleas. The teen, charged with simple assault and related offenses from a September 22 incident in Punxsutawney Borough, remains free on unsecured bail while the victim continues recovering from documented injuries.
   

• Driver flown to hospital after vehicle goes into Mahoning Creek (punxsutawneyspirit.com) — Emergency crews from Big Run and Punxsutawney responded Friday after a Jeep left Route 119 and landed in Mahoning Creek, requiring a technical rescue. The driver was lifted from the creek with help from multiple departments, then flown out from Punxsutawney Airport to Penn Highlands DuBois for treatment at a trauma center.
