$1.5M Of Suspected Heroin Seized In Sept. 1 Philly Bust: AG
Initially, an estimated 10,000 bags of narcotics were found in the bust. Now that number is more than double, according to authorities.

PHILADELPHIA – The major drug bust that occurred Friday Sept. 1 in Philadelphia has yielded more than $1 million in suspected drugs being seized, according to Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro.
After Friday's bust at a home on 1100 block of Rosalie Street in the city's Summerdale neighborhood, Shapiro's office provided an update on the findings and arrests.
According to the AG's figures, authorities recovered $1.5 million worth of suspected heroin in the bust from an estimated 30,000 to 40,000 bags.

The update also said nine men from the Dominican Republic were arrested and charged with various crimes related to the drug operation that agents and police shut down Friday.
In Friday's operation, four Philadelphia police officers and an agent of the Office of Attorney General were exposed to drug powder in the house and experienced physical reactions before being administered Narcan, Shapiro's office said.

Luckily, all five affected are in good health, Shapiro's office said.
Friday's operation involved Philadelphia Police, Office of the Attorney General's agents, and Pennsylvania State Police, Shapiro said.
"Our agents, working with Philadelphia police and the Pennsylvania State Police, got these drug dealers out of Summerdale and took the necessary steps to restore public safety to that neighborhood yesterday,” he said.
