2 Trapped In Vehicle After Crash Brings Live Electrical Wires Down

The Radnor Fire Company said the vehicle's driver and passenger were trapped in the vehicle due to live electrical wires coming down on it.

RADNOR TOWNSHIP, PA — A vehicle crash brought down electrical wires Saturday night in Radnor, prompting PECO and the Radnor Fire Company to respond.

The crash occurred at about 7:45 p.m. on the 500 block of Darby Paoli Road, the Radnor Fire Company said.

Crews were told the crash involved entrapment, and learned live electrical wires were on the vehicle.

First responders said the vehicle left the roadway, took down a pole and wires, and came to rest on top of a guard rail.

The vehicle's occupants were unharmed, but were told to remain in the vehicle until PECO crews could ensure the wires were not live.

PECO crews secured the scene and first responders were able to get the driver's door open and remove the driver and passenger.

The scene was cleared in about 45 minutes.
