Pennsylvania Game Commission Wildlife Conservation Officer Justin Ritter and state Park Rangers played to the ursine creatures greatest weakness: honey.
Ritter told The Delaware County Daily Times that officials used honey, donuts, and maple syrup to lure the bear into a humane trap in Ridley Creek State Park in Media.

The bear was later released into state game lands in Dauphin County, which according to Radnor Bear's parody Twitter account is a good thing.
