According to the township, work under the project includes:
- using the area beneath the South Wayne Parking Lot for storage and slow release of runoff;
- adding additional inlets on South Wayne Avenue to capture runoff and convey it to the subsurface system under the parking lot;
- adding inlets and piping to West Wayne Avenue;
- installing piping on School Lane;
- and install storm sewer piping to convey runoff to the underutilized stormwater management system under the Middle School playing fields.
Upon project completion, the parking lot will be completely rebuilt with grass islands, plantings, and solar-powered lighting, the township said. The Radnor War Memorial will remain in place and not be touched during construction.
