Agnes Irwin's Marin Bloise Commits to Rutgers
The AIS senior has been on the School's Varsity diving team since seventh grade. She committed Nov. 12 to attending Rutgers University.
Senior Marin Bloise signed a commitment letter Wednesday, Nov. 12 with Rutgers University to continue her diving career at the Division I level. Bloise, a Malvern resident, will graduate from The Agnes Irwin School in June 2015.
Bloise has been on the AIS Varsity diving team since seventh grade. Since then she has broken (and re-broken) the 6-dive meet and 11-dive meet school records. She won the Inter-Ac Championship multiple times, and her most notable achievement was winning at Easterns in February 2014.
“After six years on the team, I watched Marin mature into a poised and confident diver,” said Agnes Irwin Varsity diving coach Emily Brennan. “Having taught her for three years and been her advisor for four, I have witnessed Marin’s growth in many aspects. I am so proud of Marin and look forward to watching her compete for Rutgers next year!”

“I’m so excited,” Bloise said. “This was one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make, but Rutgers has always been my number one and I knew this would be the right choice in the end. I’m looking forward to competing with my four diving teammates as well as the swimmers in the Big 10 conference.”
Bloise was the recipient of the 2013 Carter Mannion award, given to an Agnes Irwin athlete for her athletic ability, leadership and enthusiasm. Bloise has also played on the School’s Varsity track, soccer and cross country teams, and served as the Varsity track captain for two years. She has also participated in several service clubs at AIS, including Bracelets for the Better, Karing Kids and Cradles to Crayons.
