Ammo, Rubber Gloves Found In Radnor Murder-Suicide Killer's Car

Police said Jennair Gerardot drove a rental car to Radnor and did not take public transportation as previously believed.

RADNOR TOWNSHIP, PA – Ammunition, binoculars, rubber gloves, and ear plugs were all found in a rental vehicle driven by Jennair Gerardot, the woman who killed 33-year-old Meredith Chapman then herself in Radnor Monday due to an apparent affair between Chapman and Gerardot's husband, police said Wednesday.

Radnor Police provided further details on the murder-suicide that shook Radnor and the surrounding community Monday, April 23.

Police said Gerardot, 47, of Wilmington, Delaware, drove a rented Cadillac XTS to Radnor, contrary to the previous belief that she may have used public transportation to get from Delaware to Radnor.

The Delaware County Medical Examiner's Office provided police with car keys, which police later learned belonged to the rented vehicle.

That vehicle was found parked on a side street near Lowrys Lane in Rosemont, where Chapman lived and was killed.

After searching the vehicle, authorities recovered ammunition, binoculars, rubber gloves, and ear plugs.

Police also found a gas station receipt, which placed Gerardot in the Radnor area at 2:30 p.m. Monday.

Gerardot broke into Chapman's home at 43 Lowrys Lane, hid the evidence of the break in, and waited for Chapman to arrive.

When Chapman got home, Gerardot fired one round from a .357 caliber revolver into Chapman's head, then shot herself in the head.

Police found the gun at the scene, as well as a wig and a bag of clothes thought to have been used as a disguise for Gerardot.
