BREAKING: Gov. Wolf To Make Budget Announcement

Governor Wolf will make a budget announcement at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, he announced Monday evening.

Lawmakers in Harrisburg are struggling with a historic budget impasse.

Last week, efforts to reach an agreement on the budget collapsed and lawmakers left for the holidays.

Instead, the Senate has sent to Gov. Tom Wolf’s desk the main appropriations bill in the House’s $30.3 billion spending plan, the Associated Press reported.

However, as of Monday afternoon, Wolf had not announced if he would sign the bill, which includes less funding for schools and social services.

He has not provided any further details on the nature of his Tuesday morning announcement.
