Delco Man Shoots Wife, Then Kills Self In Philadelphia: Reports

The man reportedly shot his wife in a Delco home then led police on a chase into Philadelphia where he then shot and killed himself.

A Delaware County man is dead after he reportedly shot his estranged wife, then killed himself after leading police on a chase from Delco to Philadelphia, according to reports.

The man, who is in his 40s, shot his wife four times in their Upper Chichester home at about 12:20 a.m. Wednesday, CBS Philadelphia reports.

According to Action News the wife was able to get out of the home with her children, who were not harmed, and was taken to a hospital for treatment.

He then fled the area, heading south on Interstate 95, according to CBS.

Police found his vehicle parked at a rest stop on the highway and police began pursuing him.

He later crashed his vehicle in Southwest Philadelphia on I-95 and was found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, Action News reports.

He was pronounced dead at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, according to Action News.

NBC10 reports the wife had a protection from abuse order against her husband.
