Graphic Novels in the Digital Age

Join us in Falvey Memorial Library's first floor lounge on Wednesday, October 26, from 3:00-4:30 pm for a panel discussion with three Philadelphia comic book professionals who are redefining the way we view the graphic novel. Josh Levitas is the production designer and hand-letterer of Ulysses "Seen", an online graphic adaptation of James Joyce's masterwork that has garnered national attention. As a founding member of Throwaway Horse LLC, Levitas develops educational apps that unite literary classics, comic book art and scholarly research. Tony Trov and Johnny Zito develop and write popular comic book series for publishers including DC Entertainment and digital retailer Comixology.

In partnership with the Writing Center, Falvey Memorial Library is proud to present this annual celebration of graphic novels and visual storytelling. The event will also feature a digital comics browsing gallery, so that attendees can peruse our panelists' work.
