Gas Main Work On Several Wayne Roads To Last For 24 Weeks: PECO

Work will take place on Chamounix Road, Aberdeen Terrace, Cornwall Lane, Fenimore Lane, and Fairview Drive in Wayne starting Monday.

WAYNE, PA — Gas main work by PECO will begin next week on several roads in Wayne and last for several months, PECO said.

According to PECO, work will begin Monday on Chamounix Road, Aberdeen Terrace, Cornwall Lane, Fenimore Lane, and Fairview Drive in Wayne.

PECO said the work will last about 24 weeks.

Work will take place 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Some work will occur on sidewalks and potentially properties.

Temporary gas shut offs may occur during the work.

To complete the work, gas service will be shut off and a PECO worker or PECO contractor will come into homes and relight appliances once the connections are complete.

Workers will also be relocating indoor gas meters to the outside of homes.

All workers will be practicing social distancing and equipped with personal protective equipment, PECO said.
