1. First Friday Art Show—

Where/When: 302 West Lancaster Ave., Wayne. Friday, 5 to 8 p.m.
Why Go: The show features paintings, drawings and photographs by Ira Shander and Lisa Learner. You can meet the artists and maybe pick up some works or ideas for your own home.

Pricing: Free, of course. And the store hosts this on the first Friday of every month.
2. The Art of Photographing Chanticleer Gallery Talk—Wayne Art Center
Where/When: 413 Maplewood Ave., Wayne. Saturday, 1 p.m.
Why Go: Photographer Rob Cardillo will talk about his five years of photographing , the world-renowned pleasure garden in Wayne. Maybe you can get some tips about photography or pick up one of his works in his exhibit.
Pricing: Free, and Rob will be giving the same talk the following Saturday too if you can’t make it this weekend.
3. Volunteer Day at the Willows Cottage—Friends of the Willows Cottage
Where/When: 490 Darby-Paoli Road, Villanova. Saturday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Why Go: Because it’s fun to get out with a group of people interested in historic preservation and environmental efficiency and spend a few sweaty hours working to fix up a community asset. Wear your work gloves and work clothes.
Pricing: It costs nothing to help. Friends of the Willows Cottage will not pay you for your help, but students can get community service credits and adults can perform their good deed for the day.
4. Bow Wow Bingo—Pals for Life
Where/When: Waynesborough Country Club, 440 Darby-Paoli Road, Paoli. Saturday, 6 p.m.
Why Go: Pals for Life is a local non-profit that brings joy and a friendly visit from a cute dog to the elderly, handicapped and mentally challenged. You can play Bingo, chow down on some food and win prizes while supporting a worthy cause.
Pricing: Admission is $30 per person in advance, $35 at the door.
5. Champagne Sunday Brunch—
Where/When: 591 East Lancaster Ave., Radnor. Sunday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Why Go: Do you really need an excuse for champagne and an endless buffet? Okay, if you need a reason: it’s a nice place to gather with family or friends and you don’t have to clean up after anyone.
Pricing: $27.95 per person, $13.95 per child under 12.
