Mail Thieves Hitting Residential Mailboxes In Radnor
Police in Radnor have reported at least six thefts from mailboxes in the township this week.
RADNOR TOWNSHIP, PA — Mail thieves have been making rounds in Radnor Township, as Radnor Police reported half a dozen instances of mail theft this week alone.
According to police, mail thefts have occurred on Brookside Avenue, Harrison Road, Yorkshire Road, Newtown Road, Ridgewood Road, and Upper Gulph Road this week.
Most recently, mail was taken from mailboxes Brookside Avenue, Harrison Road, and Yorkshire Road.

Police said mail was found in the road on Parkes Lane Run at about 12:05 p.m. Thursday.
The mail was from the 600 block of Brooksive Avenue and the 700 block of Harrison Road.

Police located the residents and determined the mail was stolen from their mailboxes.
Also on Thursday, police said a resident on the 300 block of Yorkshire Road saw a person taking mail from their neighbors mailbox.
The resident said the person was possibly a white woman with dark hair driving a small black sedan.
On Wednesday, police got a report of mail being stolen from a resident on the 700 block of Newtown Road.
The resident said on Monday they discovered a piece of mail with a personal check made out for a bill payment was taken from the mailbox. Police said that check was then altered and cashed fraudulently.
Police on Wednesday also reported a similar incident regarding a residential mailbox on the unit block of Ridgewood Road.
The resident said several checks in their mailbox left for pickup were taken on Jan. 26. At least one check was altered and cashed fraudulently.
Lastly, police said a resident on the 200 block of Upper Gulph Road saw a white BMW pull up to their mailbox then quickly drive off at about 12:56 p.m. Monday. When the victim checked their mailbox, they found a personal check written for a bill payment was missing.
