Masks To Be Optional In Radnor Township School District
The Radnor Township School District's board voted unanimously Tuesday night to make masks optional starting Thursday.
RADNOR TOWNSHIP, PA — Masks will be optional for students, staff and visitors in Radnor Township School District buildings starting Thursday.
The change comes after the school board voted unanimously at its meeting Tuesday night to allow students, staff and visitors to chose whether to wear masks in buildings.
The policy goes into effect Thursday.

However, should coronavirus metrics increase, the district could reinstate the mandate.
That would require cases meeting or exceeding 2.5 percent among students and staff over 14 days in any district building.

Thresholds for individual schools will be calculated based on cases where a student or employee was in-school, according to the district.
At the elementary level, the administration has the discretion to only require masking for classrooms and individual grade levels if the building meets or exceeds the 2.5 percent threshold.
Additionally, Superintendent Kenneth Batchelor can implement mandatory masking at his discretion.
Federal mandates also require masking on school transportation.
