Nearly All Coronavirus Metrics Rise In Delco Over Past Week

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — Four of the six key coronavirus metrics increased over the past seven days in Delaware County, according to the latest data from the state.
The Pennsylvania Department of Health's early warning dashboard shows news cases, the testing rate, the incidence rate per 100,000 people, and average coronavirus hospitalizations saw increased over the past week.

The percent of people showing up to emergency rooms with coronavirus-like illnesses remained the same at 2.1 percent.
As for new cases, this week's figure rose to 1,387 from 1,144.

The incidence rate per 100,000 people increased to 244.7, up from 201.9 last week.
The county's positive testing rate surpassed 10 percent, with 11.1 percent of test coming back positive this week. Last week, it was 9.5 percent.
Average daily coronavirus specific hospitalizations increased slightly from 64 to 64.3.
As of Friday, Delaware County has seen 60,409 cases of the coronavirus and 1,549 coronavirus deaths, state data shows.
Regarding vaccines, 330,103 people have been fully vaccinated in the county, and 63,719 have been partially vaccinated, according to state data.
