A Flash Flood Watch will be in place overnight through Tuesday morning, the National Weather Service announced.

A Flash Flood Watch will be in place overnight through Tuesday morning, the National Weather Service announced.
The watch is in place in Southeastern Pennsylvania, including the following counties: Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, Philadelphia and Berks.
"Bands of heavy showers and thunderstorms may produce narrow swaths of very heavy rainfall in a short period of time. This could lead to excessive short-term runoff and flash flooding," the NWS said.

The rain could start as early as 7 p.m. but is expected to get heavier later in the night.
Forecasters with the National Weather Service predict the heaviest rain will happen between 3 and 8 a.m. Tuesday. Some areas, including around Philadelphia, could see an inch of rain per hour for up to three hours, the NWS said.

Impacts could include road closures, basement flooding and small stream flooding in addition to flash flooding, the NWS said.
The rain is expect to clear by Tuesday afternoon.
