The Velvet Shoestring is a furniture consignment shop that opened on April 16 at 164 East Lancaster Avenue in Wayne.

It is the second such shop for owner Jacalyn Hazeltine, an interior decorator. The original store still operates in Williamsburg, Virginia.

The store is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 12 to 4 p.m.
