Radnor Commissioner Jim Higgins Steps Down, Replacement Sought
Radnor's 1st Ward is now without representation just days after Ward 7 finally got an interim commissioner in Sean Farhy.

RADNOR TOWNSHIP, PA – Just days after the Radnor Board of Commissioners appointed Sean Farhy as the interim Ward 7 commissioner, Ward 1 commissioner James Higgins announced his retirement from the board.
Higgins made the announcement at the close of the board meeting on Monday, Dec. 18. His resignation is effective immediately and was approved by the board.
Higgins cited family health issues as the cause of his resignation, saying he has been unable to dedicate the necessary time to his role as a township commissioner.

"I want to thank all the people I represent and particularly those who elected me to my first term in 2011 and my current term in November 2015," he said. "I have tried my best to represent all residents and businesses fairly and fully. I hope I have succeeded."
Higgins vacates his seat two years into a four-year term, which has prompted Radnor officials to put out a call for interim War 1 commissioner applicants.
