Should Unneutered Dogs Be Leashed at Harford Dog Park?

Proposal would prohibit dogs who are not neutered from being unleashed at the five-acre park.

Radnor, PA - Authorities in Radnor are considering a proposal that would mandate male dogs who have not been neutered be leashed at Harford Park Dog Park, according to a report.

MainLineMediaNews.com reports that a veterinarian addressed the issue in front of the Radnor Board of Health earlier this month.

Veterinarian Joan Capuzzi proposes putting up signs around the park and if someone does not follow the rules, the police could be notified, the report said.

Capuzzi reportedly said the problem with the unneutered dogs is that they are prone to “reactive tendencies,” as well as barking, odor and an inclination to fight with other animals.

The Board of Health chairman said the issue will be discussed and a recommendation will be made, the report said.
