Radnor Run To Affect Traffic Sunday

With the 42nd Annual Radnor Run set for Sunday, Oct. 27, traffic in the township will be affected in the morning.

RADNOR TOWNSHIP, PA — On Sunday, Oct. 27, runners will take to the streets in Radnor for the 47th Annual Penn Medicine Radnor Run, raising money for the American Lung Association. And with the run comes traffic impacts.

Radnor Township officials said the run will create significant traffic delays in the areas on and around the course from about 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Sunday.

Police and community volunteer course marshals will be managing traffic and safety as runners pass through each section of the course.

Drivers are urged to use caution and allow extra time for travel Sunday.

There will be significant traffic delays in the areas surrounding the course and at the Radnor Township Building.

See details on the course below, including which roads will be impacted:

The course begins and ends at the Radnor Township Building at 301 Iven Ave.

Iven Avenue will be closed from Radnor Crossing Apartments to Conestoga Road (only local traffic will be let through at times that are safe and when large groups of participants are not on the street).

Runners will travel down Iven Avenue, crossing Conestoga Road onto Church Road, and will continue on Church Road until it becomes Brooke Road.

After winding down to the end of Brooke Road, participants will turn left onto Darby-Paoli Road before turning right into the Willows.

The course goes through the Willows Park and back to Darby-Paoli Road where participants will turn right before turning left onto Newtown Road.

Participants will travel up Newtown Road, turn left on to Abrahams Lane and will continue on to Lesley Road where they will turn right.

Upon reaching Parkes Run Lane, runners will turn left and go back to Abrahams Lane where they will turn right making their way to Church Road and turning right.

Crossing Conestoga Road, runners will make their way down Aberdeen Avenue, turning right on to Orchard Way and again on to Brookside Avenue.

Finally, runners will turn left onto Iven Avenue and head for the finish line passing the Radnor Township Building and ending at Encke Park.
