Radnor Township Is Country's Safest School District, Ranking Says

RADNOR TOWNSHIP, PA – Recent events, including last week's school shooting in Florida, have put student safety in the forefront. One data compiler has revealed which Pennsylvania school districts rank highest in this category and the Radnor Township School District topped the list in Pennsylvania, as well as in the nation.

Niche.com recently released its list of the Safest School Districts for 2018, which was created using information from the U.S. Department of Education, the FBI, parent reviews and other data.

The website ranked RTSD the safest in the state and in the county after looking at the various factors.

To compile the ranking, 50 percent was based on parent and student surveys on health and safety. Student absenteeism, suspensions and expulsions were also factored into the rankings, well as percentage of students referred to law enforcement and school-related arrests.

Other nearby districts that were in the top 50 safest in Pennsylvania were Tredyffrin/Easttown, Marple Newtown, Rose Tree Media, and Haverford Township school districts.
