RHS Senior Gets Full Ride With Prestigious Pitt Scholarship Program
Julie Lee is getting a full-tuition scholarship for all four years and one international experience; and paid internships for three summers.

WAYNE, PA – We're never really surprised to hear about Radnor Township School District students earning high honors for their dedication to academics, their community, athletics and other topics. A recent bit of news from the district is surprising, as one Radnor High School student won a prestigious scholarship program that only 10 Pennsylvanians win a year.
According to the district, senior Julie Lee was recently selected to the University of Pittsburgh's Nordenberg Leadership Scholars Program.
What does being selected entail? A full-tuition scholarship for eight terms; one international experience; and paid internships in the summers after their freshman, sophomore, and junior years.

The program rewards the best and brightest student leaders from high schools in Pennsylvania who have demonstrated excellent leadership skills, innovative thinking, intellectual curiosity, and community involvement, according to the district
“The program is unique because it incorporates rigorous academic engagement with an ambitious and structured curriculum outside the classroom that is designed to challenge the scholars to excel in leadership, global awareness, citizenship, and civic engagement,” said Kenyon Bonner, vice provost and dean of students at University of Pittsburgh, in a statement provided by the district.
Lee, who plans to study pharmacy at Pitt, has a ton of extracurricular activities under her belt. Check out her impressive resume:
- president of National Honor Society;
- drum major of Radnor High School Band;
- president of Junior Achievement Student Company at SAP;
- student Representative for the Radnor Educational Foundation;
- section editor of Radnorite; president of Annenberg Science Symposium;
