Scammers Pose As 'Wayne Police' In Fraud Attempt

Radnor Police said the call came from a Radnor Township Police number and the caller claimed to be from the "Wayne Police."

WAYNE, PA — Police in Radnor Township said a local resident got a scam call from someone claiming to be "Wayne Police."

According to police, a Highfield Lane resident got a call from a man saying he was from the "Wayne Police."

The caller said the resident was the victim of identity theft in California and attempted to get personal information from the resident, police said.

Police said the caller's number came from a Radnor Township Police line, (610) 688-0503.

Anyone else who may received a phone call of this nature is asked to call the Radnor Police at 911.
