School District Revising Mission Statement, Requests Feedback

Radnor Township School District is revising its mission statement, and is interested in community feedback.

The three mission statements being considered are:

To partner with families and community members to provide a safe, supportive, respectful environment that offers high quality instruction, encourages students to pursue personal passions and individual excellence, and prepares them to be honorable and responsible citizens of the world.

To partner with families and community members to provide a safe, supportive, respectful environment that offers high quality instruction, encourages students to pursue personal academic excellence, and prepares them to be honorable and courageous citizens of the world.

To partner with families and community members to provide a safe, supportive, respectful environment that offers high quality instruction, encourages students to do their personal best, and prepares them to be honorable and courageous citizens of the world.

The district’s current mission statement is “The mission of the Radnor Township School District is to inspire in all students the love of learning and creating, and to empower them to discover and pursue their individual passions with knowledge, confidence, and caring to shape the future.”

The district said that community members may vote to keep the status quo.
