SEPTA's Stadium Station In Villanova Now Open

Good news Regional Rail commuters: you can now hop on the Norristown High Speed Line in Villanova.

VILLANOVA, PA — After shuttering for work nearly two years ago, Stadium Station in Villanova is now open for commuters to get on the Norristown High Speed Line.

The station, located at Ithan and Lancaster Avenues, opened Jan. 13.

The first train to stop at the new station was out of 69th Street Transportation Center at about 4 a.m.

While riders can get on the Regional Rail line there now, work is still not completely done.

Crews still need to work on the inbound ADA accessible ramp, which is expected to be completed by March 1.

By then, the station will feature high-level accessible platforms, customer waiting shelters, retaining walls, signage and lighting upgrades, sidewalk pavement, landscaping and fencing.

Stadium Station closed in March 2018 to accommodate the work.
