Suspicious Person, Wallet Theft, stolen License Plates: Radnor Crimes

RADNOR TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Radnor Township issued details on recent crime incidents in the township.

Theft of License Plates - 100 block of Buckingham Road
On Monday, at approximately 6:14 p.m., the resident of the 100 block of Rockingham Road reported the license plates were stolen from their vehicle. The vehicle was parked in front of their residence at 8:20 a.m. and when they returned to their car at 5 p.m., the license plates were gone.

Burglary
A gun and more items were stolen from a Bryn Mawr home sometime this week.

Suspicious person/Vehicle - Radnor Middle School - 150 Louella Ave.
On Friday, Feb. 9, at approximately 5 p.m., a suspicious vehicle was observed at the Radnor Middle School, 150 Louella Ave. The vehicle is described as a small black car, similar to a sports car, with a "felt" top. The operator of the vehicle was a white male, approximately 50 to 60 years of age.

The Radnor Police respects citizens' privacy, civil rights, and civil liberties by emphasizing behavior, rather than appearance, in identifying suspicious activity. Factors such as race, ethnicity, and/or religious affiliation are not suspicious. The public should only report suspicious behavior and situations (e.g., an unattended backpack or package, or someone breaking into a vehicle or restricted area). Moreover, any physical descriptions are based on victim and witness statements provided to the Radnor Police at the time the incident was reported or developed through investigation.

Theft of Wallet - 550 E. Lancaster Ave. - Giant Parking Lot
On Monday, Feb. 12, at approximately 12:49 p.m. the victim had their wallet taken from the parking lot of the Giant Store, located at 550 E. Lancaster Ave. The victim reports they dropped their wallet while exiting their vehicle in the parking lot. After discovering that the wallet was missing, store security reviewed the security video. Video revealed that an unknown subject picked up the wallet outside of the victim's vehicle shortly after it was dropped.
